Wi-Fi Technician - Field

The Wi-Fi Technician is responsible for performing wireless site surveys and installation at customer sites. This role includes traveling to customer sites (including international) and performing site surveys, installations, system upgrades, generating post activity reports and additional activities as required - all while ensuring complete customer satisfaction in the ongoing Xirrus-customer relationship.

Locations:

Multiple nationwide positions available

Responsibilities:

Independent national and international travel
Use standard Wi-Fi survey tools to provide coverage analysis
Generation of site survey reports
Physical install and configuration of Xirrus Wi-Fi Arrays
Generation of ‘As Built’ installation reports
50-75% travel required, some with short notice
Ability to pass basic background check
Other duties as assigned by Application Engineering Manager

A/P Specialist

The Accounting Assistant performs a wide variety of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities. Responsible for processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions; collection of delinquent accounts receivable and performance of related analysis together with routine credit investigation analyses and journal entries and other associated task including monthly A/P journal entries.

Job Results:

Match invoices with receipts
Verify PO pricing, quantity. Correct any calculation errors and notifies vendors
Verify receipts and process employee's Expense Reports
Process check request and petty cash transactions
Run D&B on all new customers
Obtain W-9 form from all vendors and customers
Process invoices daily
Maintain vendor and customer relationships as it relates to payments and collections
Process weekly disbursements as approved by Controller

Marketing Manager - United Kingdom

As a Marketing Manager you will have the opportunity to visit and build business relationships with IT professionals identified by the Marketing/Sales team on a regular basis. You will also distribute promotional materials for maximum impact.

Java Development Engineer

The Java Development Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of Java-based server applications for the Xirrus Network Management System, an NMS system providing control for the Xirrus Wi-Fi Array. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and comfortable working in a small, agile team.

Essential Job Functions:

Participate in the design and development of multi-tier, server-based wireless network monitoring applications, with an emphasis on evolving the current application to one that is highly availabile/scalable and robust.
Participate with marketing personnel to evaluate feature requests and propose solutions.
Produce prototypes to evaluate design options.
Work closely with UI development team members to develop overall architecture.
Coordinate with third-party organizations on joint projects.

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in consistent delivery of a software product across multiple product development cycles.
Hands on experience with designing/implementing/re-factoring highly available/scalable application servers.
Fluency with multi-threaded idioms and high-performance design patterns.
Working knowledge of standard Java technologies and libraries.
Working knowledge of database technology, including SQL, stored procedures, and transactional concepts.
Working knowledge of application server technologies such as JSP, servlets, etc.
Knowledge of XML technologies including XML, DTD, XSL, XPath, XML Schema.
Familiarity with both Linux and Windows operating environments.
Minimum of five years software development experience.

Other Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of Java UI technologies such as Swing is a plus.

Sr. Hardware Engineer

This hardware engineering position reports to our Director of Hardware Engineering and is responsible for all types of digital hardware development, testing, DFM and agency certification. Design responsibilities include development of digital platforms that include everything from microcontrollers to PowerPC processors. Basic network hardware design is a requirement. Analog development skills are not required but these skills are a definite plus in the area of power supply circuitry design.

Responsibilities include:

Will participate as an active hardware development team engineer, responsible for all facets of digital platform development including product architecture, design, development, troubleshooting, DFM and release to Mfg
Must be a self starter and able to lead a project from start to finish
Candidate must have experience with Agency test and certification, domestic and international, FCC and UL
Responsible for schematic capture and BOM creation

Requirements:

Must have experience designing PowerPC or similar processor platforms inclusive of memory & high speed bus design and layout
Experience with Agile for BOM development and Cadence for schematic capture
Must have 15 years experience in designing network products such as switches, routers, etc and RF design experience is a plus
Minimum of 5 years of recent agency test and certification experience for both domestic and international approvals of either wireless or wired products

Embedded Software Development Engineer

The Embedded Software Development Engineer is responsible for the development Xirrus XS Array product software for all Xirrus WIFI platforms. The Engineer should have a wide range of experience and related knowledge in areas that encompass Enterprise switching and routing features, functions and operating systems. Experience would include development for both wired and wireless products. Should have extensive knowledge and experience with programming in the Linux O/S environment.

Responsibilities include:

Will participate as an active software development engineer in the XS software team
Responsible for defining the implementation of features on the Xirrus Array OS
Will participate in R&D of WIFI standards to support specific features on the Xirrus Array

Requirements:

Will have a extensive knowledge of: Embedded Linux,, Ethernet protocols, Wireless protocols including Data and VoIP, wired & wireless security protocols, Enterprise class switching and routing protocols, VPN, RADIUS, DHCP, Firewalls, switching fabric design
Minimum of 5 years experience programming/development for enterprise class switching and routing equipment and/or WIFI Access Point product software development
Minimum of 15 years of years of software development experience in embedded systems design and implementation

Education:

BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent; masters’ degree preferred

Senior SQA Automation Engineer

Develop and design automation scripts for the Xirrus-WiFi-Array family of products
Develop and design automation scripts for test tools such as IxChariot, IxWLAN and Wavetest 90
Proactively interface with development and SQA for scripting requirements
Individuals must work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and willing to learn new skills
Experience in a fast paced startup environment is highly desired
Participate in problem resolutions and contribute to the quality assurance and stability of the systems

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and 802.11 related protocols
Experience with automation test tools such as TCL, Perl and HP-QTP
Experience with Web Management Interfaces
Strong testing and debugging experience is required
