This luxurious hotel located in the heart of one of the world’s largest capitals has 8 floors with 240 guest rooms, 17 convention/banquet rooms, and a health center all requiring Wi-Fi access. The Four Seasons chose Xirrus to fill this need as the unique architecture of the Array allows them to cover large areas while simultaneously supporting high user density and allowing future upgrades.

“There are several great benefits that we’ve gotten from our Xirrus deployment,” said Oscar Perez, Regional Director of Information Technology at the Four Seasons Hotel. “The main benefits include the number of users that can connect to a single device, the throughput the Array provides, and the monitoring abilities of the Xirrus Arrays. We also saved money with this deployment because we were able to drastically reduce the number of devices we deployed by choosing the Xirrus Wi-Fi Array over a typical access point. Our hotel has very thick concrete walls and any other vendor would have had to put a device in each and every guest or convention room. With Xirrus we were able to place Arrays in the hallways or strategic areas and get great coverage in multiple rooms despite the concrete walls.”

Oscar continued by explaining how Xirrus helped them plan for the future, “When it came time for us to upgrade our wireless network, I did not want to use the same traditional wireless access points because they have not changed much from the technology I installed nine years ago. I began searching for new technology and that’s when I found Xirrus.
